Library Student Outreach Award - Call for Applications

The purpose of this award is to promote the value of outreach to library school students interested in health sciences librarianship. Go to for full details.

The award provides funding for students to attend the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SCC/MLA) Annual Meeting in Baton Rouge, LA, October 15 - 17, 2011 and participate in meetings, conference sessions and other activities designed for them to learn about the importance of health information outreach and services conducted by librarians in the South Central Region. 

Library students currently attending an ALA-accredited Library or Information Sciences program located in the South Central Region (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas) are eligible to apply. Previous recipients are ineligible. 
Ten (10) awards. This award is intended to cover all expenses, up to $1,400 per student, related to conference attendance, including: registration, travel, lodging, and per diem.
