Bookmobile Northeast Current Schedule

Career Online High School is a new educational service offered by the Rural Services Program of the New Mexico State Library.  The program offers adults (19 plus years of age) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and entry level career certificate at the same time.  In this new bookmobile program, qualified and successful student applicants will receive one free full tuition scholarship from the library.  Please see for more information about the program and student application instructions.

Schedule: 2020 October, November, December

Northeast Bookmobile is excited to let you all know that we are coming out to see you beginning Monday, September 14th.  There have been several changes to our schedule and we are only providing limited services at this time. We have had to eliminate some stops due to this being a “day run” schedule only.   It is very important that we adhere to social distancing guidelines and masks will be required when coming to the bookmobile.

  • All stops will only be 30 minutes
  • No one is allowed on the bookmobile at this time
  • This will be a pick up stop only for this time.  Please bring a list of books you would like us to take out to you in October.  You may also utilize our on line catalog to place holds.  If you need assistance with this, please feel free to contact me
  • Masks will be required at all times and 6ft social distancing is required
  • Please DO NOT come to the bookmobile if you are sick in anyway
  • One person at a time will be allowed to come to the table that is setup outside the bookmobile – you will pick up your books and drop off any returns you may have for us.  RETURNS – All returns must be placed in a bag for pickup.
  • For those of you who have not yet submitted your census survey  we will have a lap top setup and James will assist in helping you submit your census information – PLEASE PLEASE complete your census - It is the basis for distributing seats in the House of Representatives and in various state legislatures. It is also used to determine the distribution of nearly $900 billion for federally funded programs, which are apportioned based on an area's population, income, age, and other factors.  It’s also what funds the bookmobiles!!
  • We will be taking requests via phone (575-376-2474) and email ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) – because we are so pressed for time, this first time out will only be a pickup stop.  Moving forward you will need to provide your request list two weeks prior to us coming out to your stop again.
  • Schools – we will NOT be stopping at any schools at this time but you are welcome to come to another stop in your area.  If you would like books, we can provide a “basket” of books for your students – these books will be checked out to one teacher and you will be responsible for the return of all these books (I would suggest you keep all NE bookmobile books in your classroom)
  • If a route is delayed or cancelled due to weather or safety concerns, we will notify you as soon as possible via an email, phone call or facebook
  • For those stops we are unable to get to, we are happy to assist with eBooks and books by mail – please reach out to me for assistance

Please note: Bookmobile Northeast normally travels the first, second, and third weeks of the month.
