The New Mexico State Library provides Books by Mail services to those who are rural or homebound residents of New Mexico. The purpose of our program is to provide library service to individuals without access to local libraries who live outside municipal or city limits, is located in a county which has no county-wide library services; or a person who is homebound because of a physical disability and has no other source of library service. If you are visually impaired and/or can only read Large Print type you may also qualify for our services. If you have questions about whether you qualify, call our toll free number 1-800-395-9144.
If you need to search for a specific author or title, please contact us so we can search our database as there is no way for this kind of search to be done within the catalogs.

The Rural Services staff has been evaluating the efficiencies of our Books by Mail program. As a result of our evaluation and in an effort to spend tax payer dollars wisely we have decided to issue the Books by Mail catalog three (3) times per year. The schedule for these catalogs will be:
