New Mexico public libraries file annual reports with the State Library each year. Reports must be filed by September 1 and cover the previous fiscal year's activities (July 1st - June 30th). Libraries must submit an annual report on time to be eligible to receive State Grants-in-Aid and State GO Bond allocations. See NMAC 4.5.2 and NMAC 4.5.8. Data from the annual report is used in awarding State Grants-In-Aid to public libraries.
Annual reports are filled out on-line using a program called Bibliostat. Bibliostat allows the State Library and Federal government to track library use and spending.
