"A stunning image of New Mexico's economic malaise" Albuquerque Journal

It is striking to see a visual comparison for New Mexico's lagging economy compared to the rest of the United States.  The most recent chart is available from the Pew Charitable Trusts which looks at the labor-participation rates of those in their working prime, ages 25-55.  New Mexico shows that 79.1 percent of this population was working in 2007 and just 69.9 percent is working today that is by far the worst performance among the 50 states. – 8/20/2014
