New Mexico State Library Collections serve as a resource for public libraries statewide; legislative staff; state employees; historians; genealogists; visually impaired residents; and students of state government, history and culture.
State government employees and members of the public can visit the upper level of the State Library and use the library’s resources from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Beginning December 1, 2014, the State Library's Southwest Research Room (ground floor) will be open only from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, due to staffing shortages.
Assistance in locating materials and using both paper and online resources can be obtained by calling or emailing NMSL reference services.
