Tribal Libraries Program Overview

 

The New Mexico State Library's Tribal Libraries Program (TLP) mission is to promote and support information access in tribal    communities with emphasis on current technology and tribal library development.

TLP  is unique in the nation with specialized library development services to tribal communities on a statewide basis. The main administrative office is located in Santa Fe with staff in Crownpoint serving the Northwestern New Mexico Navajo area.

The Development Bureau of the New Mexico State Library provides consulting services for tribal librarians on a wide range of topics including technology, policies and planning, and library best practices as well as training for tribal library staff and community members. Workshop topics are based on local need.

  9. Pueblo of Pojoaque Public Library
  10. Pueblo of San Felipe Community Library at the San Felipe Pueblo
  11. Pueblo de San Ildefonso Library at the San Ildefonso Pueblo
  12. Sandia Pueblo Learning Resource Center at Sandia Pueblo
  13. Santa Ana Pueblo Community Library at the Pueblo of Santa Ana Pueblo
  14. Santa Clara Pueblo Community Library at the Santa Clara Pueblo
