FFNM is a partnership of the State Libray of New Mexico, UNM Continuing Education, UNM Los Alamos, the Global Center for Cultural Entrepreneuship, and the 1st-Mile Institute. They have launched a statewide outreach and training campaign aimed at ending the digital divide in NM. FFNM will be providing hands-on computer and Internet trainings in public libraries in communities across New Mexico -- FREE! Trainings will be available to small business owners, students, senior citizens, parents, Spanish speakers, and Navajo speakers.
FFNM will kick-off the program at the Aztec Public Library on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 10 am to 8 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Some of the planned activities include a battle of the bands, a BBQ fundraiser, film showing, art contest, etc.
